Better bus services are coming for Logan South

From Monday 23 February there'll be changes for routes 562, 563, 564, 565, 568 and 582 to deliver more frequent trips and improved access to key local destinations.

These changes are part of a broader program of improvements to strengthen public transport across Logan, benefitting Bahrs Scrub, Bethania, Meadowbrook, Holmview and surrounding suburbs.

Plan your journey using a date from Monday 23 February to see how you'll benefit. 

  • The route will be realigned to include Bethania station, with all trips following the same route so it’s easier to know where you’re going.
  • 28 new trips will be added each week to improve service frequency.
  • Sunday services will run for the first time, offering greater travel flexibility.
  • Operating hours will be extended:
    • Monday to Friday - 6:10am to 7:23pm
    • Saturdays - 7:05am to 6:21pm
    • Sundays - 9:10am to 6:12pm
  • Some journeys may take up to 15 minutes longer due to the additional stop at Bethania station.

  • The route will be extended to four new bus stops in Bahrs Scrub and will also stop at Holmview Central Shopping Centre.
  • The service won’t stop at Bethania station, but will continue to stop at Beenleigh and Loganholme stations. If you need to get to Bethania station you can catch route 562 instead.
  • 91 new trips will be added each week to improve service frequency.
  • Sunday services will run for the first time, offering greater travel flexibility.
  • Operating hours will be extended
    • Monday to Friday - 5:30am to 10pm
    • Saturdays - 7:05am to 10pm
    • Sundays - 8:05am to 8:56pm 

These routes will be removed, with coverage provided by upgraded routes 562 and 563. You’ll be able to catch these services from your existing bus stops.

Sunday trips will use the current weekday and Saturday travel pattern. This means all route 565 trips will stop at the same stops, all week.

  • The route will be renumbered to 580 and extended to service Meadowbrook, providing direct access to Griffith University (Logan Campus), Logan Hospital and Loganlea TAFE.
  • 95 new trips will be added each week to improve service frequency.
  • Operating hours will be extended:
    • Monday to Friday - 7am to 9pm

New stops in Bahrs Scrub

Bahrs Scrub will have direct access to public transport for the first time, with four new bus stops serviced by route 563.
